Thank you for using Iki. This User Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal contract between you ("User") and the developer of Iki ("we", "our", or "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using Iki, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
1. Overview of the Service
Iki is a mindfulness and journaling app offering:
- Daily and curated quotes
- Breathing and mindfulness guidance
- Basic journaling and mood reflection
- Ability to save favorite quotes
- Local reminders and home screen widgets
- Optional premium subscription for extended features
Iki is intended for users 9 years and older. If you are a minor, please use the App with parental or guardian supervision.
2. Local-Only Data Model (Important)
Iki stores all user content locally on your device only, including:
- Journals and mood entries
- Custom quote packs
- Favorite quotes
- Reminder settings and app preferences
- Wallpapers, themes, and layout choices
We do not collect, sync, upload, or remotely store your data.
Important: Deleting the App permanently erases all your data. You are responsible for backing up or exporting your content before uninstalling the App.
3. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement as features or laws change. Significant updates will be communicated in-app before they take effect. Continued use of Iki after updates means you accept the revised terms.
4. No Account Required
Iki does not require login or registration. All personalization happens on-device. You are responsible for securing your device to prevent unauthorized access to your content or purchases.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Iki for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Upload or generate content that is hateful, violent, obscene, or discriminatory.
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to access internal code or systems.
- Copy or redistribute Iki's content, UI, or assets without permission.
- Interfere with notification delivery or subscription flows.
- Use Iki to infringe intellectual property rights.
6. Your Content and Intellectual Property
- All journals, moods, custom quotes, and other items you create remain your content.
- We do not access, upload, or process your content on remote servers.
- Iki's design, branding, features, code, and curated quote collections are protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Subscriptions and Billing (Important)
Iki offers optional premium subscriptions ("Iki Premium") that provide additional benefits on top of all free features. Free users retain access to the core Iki experience, including browsing daily quotes, saving favorites, using basic journaling tools, and setting reminders.
Iki Premium adds enhanced capabilities such as:
- Access to all built-in quote packs
- Unlimited creation of custom quote packs
- Unlimited daily browsing and saving of quotes
- Custom journaling templates
- Customizable widget content
- Priority access to future premium-only features
By subscribing to Iki Premium, you agree to the following:
7.1 Purchase and Payment
- All purchases are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit).
- Prices, currency, and billing terms are displayed in the App Store and within the App at checkout.
- We do not receive or store your payment information; billing is handled exclusively by Apple.
7.2 Auto-Renewal
- Iki Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current billing period ends.
- You will retain Premium access until the end of the paid billing cycle.
7.3 Free Trials
Iki currently does not offer free trials. If trials are introduced in the future, the terms will be clearly shown before activation.
7.4 Managing Your Subscription
You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Canceling stops future renewals but does not issue refunds for the current period unless required by law or Apple's policies.
7.5 Restore Purchases
If you reinstall Iki or switch to a new device using the same Apple ID, you may restore Premium access using the Restore Purchases option inside the App.
7.6 Refunds
Refunds are issued solely by Apple. If you believe you are eligible for a refund, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
8. Third-Party Services
Iki interacts only with:
- Apple StoreKit (subscriptions)
- Apple Notifications (local reminders)
- Built-in system features such as widgets and share sheets
The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.
9. Privacy
Iki does not collect personal data. All data remains local to your device unless you manually export it. Please review the Iki Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement.
10. Disclaimers
- Iki provides mindfulness and wellness content for general well-being only; it is not medical or psychological advice.
- Certain features depend on system services (e.g., notifications, widgets), which may behave differently depending on your device settings or OS version.
- The App is provided "as is," without warranties except where required by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for Iki in the preceding 12 months.
- These limitations do not apply where prohibited by local law (such as personal injury or fraud).
12. Termination
You may stop using Iki at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach this Agreement. Deleting the App deletes all local data, consistent with Iki's on-device design.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the developer's country or region, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
