Iki Privacy Policy

Iki ("we", "our", or "the App") is a mindfulness and journaling application designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data. All information you create stays on your device only and is fully under your control.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Iki mobile application on iOS and any help pages linked from within the App. Iki does not have servers and does not transmit your data to us or any third party.

2. Information We Collect

We collect nothing.

Iki does not collect:

• Name, email, or phone number
• Account registration
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
• Location data
• Photos, microphone data, or health information
• Analytics or tracking SDKs
• Journals, moods, quotes, or content you create
• Cookies or cross-app tracking

Data that remains only on your device

The following information is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves it unless you choose to export or share it:

• Journals and mood entries
• Custom quotes and quote collections
• Favorite quotes
• Reminder schedules
• Themes and UI preferences
• Home wallpaper selections
• Breathing and mindfulness logs

Iki does not upload, sync, or remotely store any of this data.

3. Important Note About Local Storage

Because your data is stored exclusively on your device, Iki cannot restore it if deleted.

Important: If you delete the App, all your data will be permanently erased.

We strongly recommend exporting or backing up your important entries before removing the App. This ensures you always remain in control of your content.

4. How Your Data Is Used

Since Iki does not receive or store your data, we do not use or process any personal information. All app functions run directly on your device.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not and cannot share data with:

• Advertisers
• Analytics providers
• Third-party services
• Governments or legal entities

The only exception is when you choose to share or export your data. Iki has no servers and no access to your content.

6. Local Storage and Retention

• All data stays on device and is protected by iOS system-level security (Data Protection and sandboxing).
• Deleting the App deletes all stored data.
• We cannot retrieve or access your data because we never receive it.

Exports

If you export quotes or journals:

• Files are created only when you choose.
• Iki does not upload these files.
• You decide where they are stored and who can see them.

7. Your Rights

Since Iki stores no personal data on servers:

• You retain full control over all data you enter.
• You may edit or delete content at any time within the App.
• You may delete the application to erase all stored data.
• Regional privacy rights apply, but we inherently hold no personal data about you.

8. Children

Iki does not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children. The App is intended for general mindfulness and is not a medical device.

9. Security

Iki relies on Apple's security architecture:

• iOS Data Protection
• Secure app sandboxing
• No external servers
• No cloud transmission

Data cannot be breached remotely because it never leaves your device. If you export data, please store those files securely.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy for new features or legal changes. Substantial updates will be communicated in-app before taking effect.
