Golingua User Agreement

Thank you for using Golingua. This User Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal contract between you ("User") and the developer of Golingua ("we", "our", or "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using Golingua, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

1. Overview of the Service

Golingua is a language-learning app offering:

  • Vocabulary entries (Words)
  • Everyday phrases (Phrases)
  • Grammar explanations (Grammar)
  • Quiz practice to reinforce learning
  • Optional iCloud sync for your saved data (when enabled)

Golingua is designed for general audiences. Some features may be more beneficial for users with prior language learning experience.

2. No AI Features

This release does not provide AI-generated content or AI-based analysis.

3. No Account Required

Golingua does not require login or registration. Some optional personalization (such as a display name) may be stored on your device.

You are responsible for securing your device and Apple account to prevent unauthorized access to your content.

4. Data Storage and iCloud Sync

Golingua stores user data on your device to provide features like favorites, notes, history, and learning progress.

If you enable iCloud, Golingua may sync certain user data (such as favorites, notes, history, custom entries, and learning progress) using Apple CloudKit. CloudKit data is associated with your Apple account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use Golingua for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
  2. Submit content that is hateful, violent, obscene, or discriminatory.
  3. Reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to access internal code or systems.
  4. Copy or redistribute Golingua's content, UI, or assets without permission.
  5. Misuse the App in a way that could disrupt service or other users' experience.

6. Your Content and Intellectual Property

  • Notes and custom entries you create remain your content.
  • You are responsible for what you submit.
  • Golingua's design, branding, features, code, and bundled content are protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Subscriptions and Billing (If Offered)

Golingua may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions in the future. If offered:

  • Purchases are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit).
  • Prices and billing terms are shown at checkout.
  • We do not receive or store your payment information; billing is handled by Apple.

8. Third-Party Services

Some features may rely on third-party services:

  • Apple iCloud/CloudKit (optional sync)
  • Apple Notifications (local reminders)

Your use of those services may be subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Privacy

Your use of Golingua is also governed by the Golingua Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement.

10. Disclaimers

  • Golingua is provided for language-learning purposes only; content may contain errors.
  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties except where required by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for Golingua in the preceding 12 months (if any).

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by local law.

12. Termination

You may stop using Golingua at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach this Agreement.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the developer's country or region, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
